Andi Curran's art is strongly influenced by color, texture and pattern. Drawn to the work of the Fauvists from an early age, Van Gogh, Matisse and Gauguin were her idols. Their goal was to separate color from its expressive purpose and allow it to exist as an independent element. Color could be the subject of an artwork. Her personal objective when painting is to distill the essence of a scene into a unique and colorful personal vision.

Andi  enjoys making art in a variety of mediums, though oils and pastels top the list. She chooses the medium based on the outcome she hopes  to achieve. Her work philosophy is 'Don’t limit yourself, take chances.

Andi  lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.  Her paintings  can be seen in various galleries and in her studio located in the  Mill Center.
